Having spent the last 18 months getting the workshop set up and getting settled in the current house, it is time to move again! Time to make a simple hanging rail to help move all our clothes to the next place.
Our housing contract is running out in the next few months and the landlord is wanting to increase the rent way beyond what comparable houses in the area are currently costing. So we have made the decision to not stay here and hunt for somewhere we can get more house for our money.

I cut some pallet wood blocks to size and then screwed some shelf legs to the centre of each block.

I then drilled a hole in the top of each leg using a Forstner bit to get a neat and clean hole, with minimal blow out.

I slid a long pole through each hole and secured it in place with a screw into each upright shelf leg.

This is a quick and simple construction and can be easily dismantled until needed. I left the space between the legs open so I can position boxes and other furniture between the legs, without having a load of wasted space in the moving van. Not very decorative but highly functional! 🔨
