TWS Branding – Maker’s mark stamp

As the number of projects I’m making for other people continues to increase, plus the prospect of further commissions, I wanted some way to add a neat makers mark to the things I make. Time to invest in a stamp!

I have made several projects recently where I thought it would be nice to add something to show that I made it. I’ve seen some people using metal brands to burn their logo into items, so that may be an option to explore in future. For now, I decided to investigate getting a stamp with The Woodworking Scientist logo on it, so I can use it on a range of projects without any damage to the surface.

I found a great online store (Stampit, not sponsored), where you simply upload the image file and they create the rubber stamp for you. I opted for a 20mm Reclaimed Oak stamp and within a few days had my very own logo stamp!

I really like how the logo looks in black and white and I think the size is just perfect to be a small feature on workpieces.

Now to start planning future projects that I can leave a perfect little maker’s mark on! 🔨
